Welcome

These are stories I have written since I retired, based on my experience as a teacher, parent and grandparent.

They are aimed at pre-school and primary school children.

Many children will be able to relate to them because they have had experiences just like these.

Other stories have a fantasy element to add a bit of fun.

The first few lines of each story indicate what the story is about. If it suits you, select click KEEP READING to see the whole thing.

To return to the Home page, just Click on the Tractor in the Logo on the top of every page.

These stories can be downloaded and printed off as needed for free.

About Me

My name’s Barbara.

I live on a rural property with my husband and have recently retired.

I have spent the last 25 years teaching tertiary and therefore marking assignments, mostly for teachers.

Writing has been a large part of my life.

In addition, I have spent 15 years as a SPELD teacher, hoping to assist students with learning difficulties so that they too may gain pleasure from reading and writing.

These stories are based on that experience, generally with a rural focus, because these are the students I predominantly worked with.
